Can I make it? Will I make it? Am I good enough? These are the questions that all Internet marketers have to deal with, and it is working with these questions and not giving up that separates the winners from the losers.

You see, anybody can make it with Internet marketing. Anybody. It is not a matter of being smarter than others or richer than others, as much as it is the willingness to persevere no matter what.

Putting the Doubt Aside

There is a time and a place for doubt, but not when you are working. When you are sitting down to do the tasks at hand, you must take your doubt and put it aside. It is not something that will help you get your work done; it is only a hindrance to real production.

If you find that it is hard to get this doubt out of your mind, you need to walk away from your computer and figure out a way to place it somewhere else. You may have to resort to some techniques to get it done, but don’t let this stop you.

You will get much more done in a smaller amount of time if you take the time to dump these harmful and malicious feelings. How can you really get anything positive accomplished when you are weighted down with negative destructive thoughts? You won’t be able to, that’s all.

How to Put Negative Thoughts Aside

Some people use visualization techniques to fill their mind with positive thoughts, which pushes all of the negative thoughts aside. This technique works well for many that have a hard time dealing with doubt and fear.

As you sit down at your computer to start writing, work on a website or contact a certain business partner, take a moment to visualize what you are going to be doing and how you will get it done. Concentrate on this until you have a clear mental picture of what will be done, and how good it will feel when it has been completed.

Another thing you can do is get some positive energy flowing by listening to some upbeat music, petting your dog and talking to him, or whatever it takes to uplift your mood and make you feel energized. Everyone has their own way of creating positive energy for themselves, and only you know what it takes to make you happy and motivated.

Confronting the Doubt and Fear

A lot of people try to confront the fear head on, but this method usually does not work very well. Both fear and doubt are very negative energy; and the more attention and power you give to them, the stronger they can become. Don’t feed them, make them starve.

It can take a lot of time and energy to face these emotions, and in a lot of cases you may not even know where they are coming from. It is a fact of life that just ignoring them and concentrating on the positive will get you much further ahead, and in much less time. When you are filled with positive feelings, there remains no extra room for the negative.

You may find after 20 years of psychotherapy that it was Aunt Mary that told you, when you were three or four years old, that computers are stupid and that you should grow up to be a doctor. Maybe it has some influence on you now. None of that really matters. None of it.

Developing Confidence and Certainty

You will be able to develop true confidence and certainty by just putting your fear and doubt aside, and by working on your Internet marketing business. It is a very simple concept that many do not understand, and these people fall into the hole of doubt and can never get out.

If you simply do what you need to do on your business with regular consistency, you will begin to see results. It always works that way and never changes.

You may need to change things from time to time, test things, see things fail and then rise to the challenge of persevering and trying something else. When you understand that this is truly your job, then you will make it to the other side and become successful.

It is not your doubt or your fear that is stopping you; it is only you that is stopping you. You are the one that allows the fear to take control. You are the one that has the ability to stop it from taking control, by just doing your work and pushing it completely aside.

For many people, putting off their work for later is more habit than desire. It can be so hard to get into a groove where starting your tasks in a timely fashion is a priority, especially if the consequences for being late are things that one can probably bear.

1. Set schedules – It is very important that you have a list of activities to accomplish per day. This will help you realistically budget your time and resources. One of the cardinal sins people commit in regards to performing their tasks is to put off their work because they feel like there is so much time left. A journal, organizer, or calendar of events will help you plan and schedule your task so that you can start them promptly and finish them on time.

2. Save the Vacation for Later – Many people put their work off for later saying, “I’ll just have a little fun then buckle down to work later.” While it may be true that they may have more than enough time to accomplish their tasks, it would be better if they finished their work first and relax afterwards.

Wouldn’t relaxation be sweeter if it were after a taxing job? If you choose to lay back and relax before doing your tasks, you will be more prone to burnout and will have nothing exciting left to look forward to after accomplishing a task. It is always better to have slack period AFTER a job than before one, especially considering that people are wont to overusing their slack time. This is suicide if you are heading towards a deadline.

3. Never Underestimate Your Tasks – Sometimes procrastination sets in because people underestimate the resources, difficulty, and time spent for a particular task. They will usually say, “It’s just mowing the lawn, its easy; I could do it in a jiffy.” The problem is, no matter how trivial the task, it still takes time and resources to accomplish. If you underestimate a task, you will most likely set too little time to do it and schedule it too close to its deadline.

4. Don’t Allow Yourself to Get Comfortable Doing Nothing – It would definitely help if you kept a subconscious alarm whenever you are doing nothing. Get this alarm to remind you of things that may need to be done. This will help you foster the notion that jobs accomplished now means more time for relaxation later. However, even if this is the case, do not forget to put ample time in for rest and to remove all thoughts of troubles before hitting the sack. The trick here, however, is not to overdo you rest. There is a difference between resting and idling. Always set the right amount of time for rest and stick to that schedule.

In most cases, people like them actually have a very positive outlook towards life. And believe it or not, you also have the opportunity to live that way.  You may not be the son of a tycoon or the daughter of a world-renowned fashion designer; but if you have an abundant mindset, all the benefits that come with being rich and successful will fall easily onto your lap.

Here are some of the different ways you can encourage an abundant mindset.

1) Read books dealing with wealth and success stories.

Reading nourishes your mind. If all you do is read about how bad the economy is and how you’re never going to get to the top, what kind of images do you think your mind will conjure up? You definitely won’t encourage an abundant mindset that way.

Whereas if you keep yourself inspired with a lot of financial motivation and success stories, you’ll not only learn which strategies work, you’ll also be setting yourself up for the same kind of success.

There are many titles in bookstores these days that you can choose from. One book I highly recommend to develop an abundant mindset is “Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind” by T. Harv Eker.  The “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” series by Robert Kiyosaki can also shift your mindset dramatically towards attaining financial success. I say grab a copy of the one that appeals to you best and start reading!

2) Give yourself time to appreciate what you have.

We’re always busy these days. No longer do we have time to take a stroll around the block, nor do we have time to just sit down and enjoy the scenery.

But the truth is, the key to having an abundant mindset is sitting with yourself and being grateful for all the blessings you are experiencing in your life right now. Why don’t you start make a list of all the good things you have in your life?

Even if it’s just having cereal this morning, write it down. There are some people who actually try to create a month-long happy list in their journals. Everyday, they must write something down that made them happy.

At the end of each month, you’ll be surprised to see just how much you can be thankful for. Doing this exercise helps hone the perspective that you are always blessed. Life offers us simple pleasures. Let’s not waste them.

3) Be generous.

Don’t be a penny pincher. Having such a tight hold on your purse strings is sending out a message to everyone (even yourself) that you don’t have any, and will not have any, money to spend.

Not that you should give away all your priceless possessions to the next homeless guy you see, but you should at least know when to give and when to treat yourself.

Every once in a while, why not treat yourself to a nice and relaxing massage? Think of it as an investment. When your body has had its rest, you tend to be more productive and more eager to get back to work. Or why not treat your friends to coffee one of these days? Better yet, why not donate to your favorite charity? If you have the opportunity to be a little magnanimous, don’t let it slip away.

Someday, those same people might return the favor. So don’t hold out on other people, even on yourself. And hey, even if they don’t repay you, the universe will.

There are a lot of people who try to save every last bit of their penny, haggling to death with a vendor even when they know they can easily afford the product. Just think of it this way. Money rotates. The more unwilling you are to part with your money, the more unwilling it will be to return to you. 

However, you should not confuse being generous with being a lavish spender. Giving yourself a treat once in a while, or sharing your blessings with other people, is a great way to attract wealth. But improper budgeting, impulse buying or compulsive spending can make you go broke before you realize it.

Having an abundant mindset will open up a lot of wonderful opportunities for you. It will enable you to develop a different perspective of the world, give you room for more creative ideas, and help usher in a lot of good vibes in general.

And don’t worry. It’s easy enough to ease yourself into the abundant mindset. You don’t have to go through a rigorous personality change. Just remember to surround yourself with positive energy, appreciate what you have, and be more giving to others and yourself.

You will also have to do something yourself to boost your business. Why don’t you try out some of these suggestions now and see where they take you?

1) Be generous with praises.

Your business is not just a one-man team. It may consist of two to even a hundred members, depending on how large your company is. It is because of this that you have to learn how to give praises.

Studies have shown that employees work better with positive reinforcement rather than harsh criticism. Not to say that you’re no longer allowed to give out constructive criticism. You’ll just have to be more careful with your words and even your timing.

Some companies actually make a conscious effort to start and end their days with praise. You might be surprised at how a simple, “good job, Eric” can boost employee performance.

2) Look at the brighter side.

Sometimes, things don’t go the way you expect them to. Perhaps this month’s sales have dropped 10% or maybe you’ve had a string of bad luck when it comes to your customers. But these are not reasons to give up and let depression take over.

Look at the brighter side. You can put a positive spin on things if you simply look at the situation in a different light. Take the time to assess what has been happening in your company lately and make the necessary steps to fix the gaps.

Perhaps this is life’s way of saying that you are now ready for bigger challenges or innovative solutions, and thus, ready for bigger percentage growth. As you overcome each situation, your business becomes stronger and more dependable.

3) Put up positive posters.

Another way to boost your business with positive thinking is by putting up motivational posters in your office. You don’t have to cover every inch of your wall with them. Just a few copies in strategic locations would do.

Maybe you can put one up by the lounge or one by the rest room. There are a lot of fun designs and fun words to choose from. Motivational posters are even considered art by some people. If you don’t have the budget to look for those framed posters, you can always just print a positive statement on a piece of bond paper and post it on the bulletin board.

4) Sponsor positive thinking seminars.

Companies often send their employees out for business seminars. However, only a few actually expose their staff to positive thinking or motivational seminars. You can put up as many posters as you want or be so positive yourself, but it might be difficult for the others to grasp the concept.

So why not give them the opportunity to soak it all up from the people who know the positive thinking strategy very well? After the seminar, you can ask those who attended to create reports. You can see for yourself just how much of their perspective will have changed.

Lightbulb moment: You can ask those same people to lead positive thinking seminars in your own company in the future!

5) Encourage positive values in the office.

While it is not your duty to instill positive values in your employees, it will probably help your business grow if you do. It’s always better to work with people who are on the same page as you.

So how do you encourage positive values in the office? Well, a lot of people like to have an employee of the month system. However, you can take the idea one step further and perhaps add a few more to the roster.

How about giving rewards to the person who has the best customer relations or the person who is the most determined. You don’t have to give out huge prizes, but you can at least acknowledge that these values are highly recognized in your company. 

These are just the various ways you can boost your business with positive thinking. Ultimately, it starts with you. It is then adopted by the people you meet and work with.

That’s the beauty of positive thinking. You can pass what you know to other people and they in turn will pass it to others. Your business, being a hub for positive thinking, will definitely draw in more customers. There’s something different about a business that is filled with positive aura. You can easily make your own business a positive haven just by following the suggestions mentioned above.
